IN-HOME VISITING PROGRAM

HKA's In-Home Visiting program is provided by a wonderful team of professionally trained volunteers who help by providing practical assistance and emotional support. This allows family members to go out for a few hours or simply to rest. Volunteers visit for 2-4 hours per week.

Our visiting volunteers are carefully screened and receive over 30 hours of specialized training in hospice care and are supervised by professional staff. In-home hospice volunteers may provide companionship, practical assistance, short-term respite care (a break for caregivers), life review and legacy work.

We encourage clients and volunteers to arrange a mutually agreeable visiting schedule. Visits may be arranged for the same day every week or you may wish to have a more flexibile schedule.

There are no fees for the In-Home Visiting Program. Donations are always welcome.
