 "NEED IT NOW" BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT Provided for individuals (children, teens and adults) and families at HKA or at home.

 

COMFORT CAFE  A weekly drop-in group for men and women who are experiencing the loss of a loved one.

Tuesdays @ 1:00pm - 2:30pm

 

WINGS  8-week support group for grieving children aged 5-8 years and 9-12 years A chance for children to participate in a variety of activities designed to support their grief journey. A concurrent informal session is offered for parents and caregivers. Running April 25 to June 13, 2017.

WHO CARES?  We care!   A peer support group for grieving teens aged 13- 17 years. Offered several times during the year. 

 

SCHOOL SUPPORT One-to-one and group support for students, staff and families before or after a loss.

 

GRIEF BUSTERS SUMMER CAMP  A 5-day summer camp for children 7 to 12 years who have had a parent or sibling die or who is terminally ill. Opportunities for "teen buddies" for this camp as well. Running July 10-14, 2017 and July 17-21, 2017 - Choose your week. Flyer    Application

TRANQUIL MOMENTS YOGA A gentle approach to yoga encouraging awareness, self-acceptance and well-being.

MEDITATION  Weekly meditation group explores a variety of techniques including breath work, visualizations, energy body balancing, mantra chanting & more.  Thursdays @ 3:00pm

 

HEALING HIKE/SERENITY STROLL   An opportunity for conversation and support while walking with others..

1st & 3rd Friday of the month @ 10:00am

 

ART THERAPY  Explore the power of expression through colour - for healing and self-awareness. No art experience is necessary.  Scheduled throughout the year
